You could use the Samsung Media Center...

Just use the Samsung media studio software that came with your player...If you don't have it for whatever reason, you can also download it from the Samsung website:

You could try just renaming a file and putting .WMV at the end of the name.
I've done this with about six or seven videos on my T10 and they have all worked. |

Thanks, Narvin it works.. Two Thumbs up, but just one more question some avi files doesn't work even though wmv conversion is done in the same process, is it because that the avi file is encoded in a different file format, as far as i know there is type 1 and type 2 for encoding avi files...don't know which one is supported by samsung yp-t10...hope someone can clarify about this...but anyway Thanks again Narvin..

Hey foxhenry,
DivX may have been used to compress the Avi and if so Windows Media Encoder has a hard time coping with it and usually crashes. Try Super, its a free video converter for almost all formats except WMV9 which is needed for t10, but you can do what I do and convert the DivX Avi to an MPGII and then encode it through Windows Media Encoder. Heres a link to Super http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html Hope that clarifies. Cheers, Narvin. |

Hey thanks for all the help on video conversion, was really helpful ^^
I just have a question though, what do I do for FLV files? WM encoder doesn't seem to want to encode this type of file and I can't seem to find a proper converter to make the file into an encodeable file type. thanks in advance ^^ |

http://www.ripzor.com/flvconverter.html
you can use that to convert flv to avi as it says on the page... ripzor is for ripping videos from youtube, but it rips in flv format so on this page they give you a free easy to use converter, works for me!! |

Or you can download Super video encoder, its free and unlimited. I've converted .flv and .swf into .mpg files, which then SMS can convert to .svi and put onto the player. Also, SMS cannot decode some forms of Divx and Xvid codecs for .avi. You need to convert these to a more basic .mpg (I or II), avi, or .wmv formats for SMS to even recognize those files.

This forum really helped when i first tried to convert videos to play on my t10 and its time i share something as well.
I tried a bunch of the method suggested here and of them the 1 that worked best was using windows media encoder 9. After that I set my goal to see if there was a simpler and quicker way to do it, which is when i came across WinAVI video converter. Its simple to use: 1) select to convert to wmv 2) load up the file you want to convert 3) goto advanced and changed the video encoder to WMV9 DVD Quality Encoder 4) picture size 320x240 (if needed) 5) video frame rate 29.97 6) audio sample rate 44100 7) click ok and ok again 8) that should start the conversion and save the file where you want it to 9) now instead of dragging directly into the t10 folder, use windows media player to sync it to the player 10) you will have the video playing on ur t10 Just a note: just because this was the fastest way for me, doesnt mean it will be for you as well. If you need any more clarification, please do not hesistate to ask. Winavi unfortunately, isnt a free software (but wat are to**ents for )
