cant believe it, some how i missed that there is NO SPEAKER. this has to be used with headphones all the time ! ahhhhhh.... this was a bedtime unit i was buying, my bad... just out a ton of money because of my blunder. nice looking unit though, anyone who doesnt need a speaker, i would say this is the best. later all Merry Christmas jim

not too many good mp3 players have built in speakers so don't be down about it... get your self some bluetooth speakers and you should be set

haha, yeah... cant do speakers, cant afford them. really sucks for me. i'll try to sell it locally i guess. i dont know how i missed something like that. you know what it is, when i watch the vids on youtube, i didnt see a plug in the speaker port, so, I "assumed".... lesson learned i suppose. not knocking the Pilot, it looks great... just, i need a speaker, and as bluetooth is like another $100.... this unit is not feasible for me... i already spent $170 to get it. well you can get decent portable speakers for less than 100, speakers than will FAR outmatch anything you would have gotten with built in speakers. but if your sole use is for bedtime, and you're short of money, you could try http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.1934
