I have a huge amount on MP3's on my computer and obviously I don't want all of them to be synchronised with my ZVM30. Is there a synchronisation tool that allows you to select/tick the albums that you want to be transferred? In an ideal world this selection will be kept for future use. Does Media Monkey have this capability?

Yes, you can select what to sync on MediaMonkey. Here's a screenshot of the sync options window for the Zen Vision:M. I haven't used it, though.

WMP11 has this capability as well. The only caveat to this is, when you first plug in your player, WMP will attempt to sync your entire library. However, if you're fast enough, you can stop the sync, then adjust the settings so that WMP will no longer auto-sync when you plug in your player. After that, you can simply drag-and-drop what you do want to sync - Whole albums, individual songs, whatever you want.

Thanks. I've downloaded Media Monkey and that seems to do the trick for me. What a great application. Well impressed so far.
