Well, everyone, after about ten months with my Creative Zen Vision:M, a couple weeks ago it suffered the first bit of battle damage that actually somewhat impairs the player's functionality.
The piece of plastic lining the inside of the headphone jack was damaged, and the top part detached from the device. This makes the headphones plug in much more loosely, and it makes the headphone jack more sensitive to touching, resulting in getting only a mono signal at times. At this point, it is only a nuisance, however I fear that as time progresses this will become a more serious problem. At this point, since my player is less than a year old; it is still under warranty from Creative for parts. However, if I don't have to go that far to alleviate this problem, then I'd like to avoid that. I concede that my digital camera is a brick, but these pictures should be enough to show you that something is missing:

I would take advantage of the warranty while you still have it.
