Default My Zen's touch pad isn't working.

Hi,

my touch pad on my Zen Vision M 60GB isn't working. It takes a long time to respond to anything I try to do - so I can't flick through the menus or adjust the volume. All the other buttons work fine.

Also, when I try to reset it, it doesn't go to the rebuild screen, it just goes back to what it was originally playing!

I've tried upgrading the firmware but it is no use. The player still docks fine with the PC.

Could it be the cold weather causing it? (I'm in NY at the moment on holiday). The bag I had it in also fell off a table last night, maybe it was the drop that caused it to mess up (my phone and camera were both fine after the mishap).

Can anyone help? I don't want to have to resort buying an iPod!

Cheers.

With the exception of the touchpad's behavior, everything else you described is normal.

Environmental conditions could affect touchpad performance, such as exceedingly dry air and temperature extremes; however, it seems more likely you either have the touchpad sensitivity set too low, or it sustained damage from the drop. If changing the sensitivity doesn't fix the problem, and you're not a human popsicle, then your only other option is to send the player in for repair.

Try pressing and holding on various points on the front of the case while you press the buttons. This got mine "working". Dropping the Zen touch will definately shake something loos. So many people complain of this. (It made me buy an iPod.
