So when do you think there will be a replacement for the Zen Vision:M?

Creative has dropped the ball big time, not just by the lack of a real Vision:M replacement, but I do not think they have any player in their line-up that is truly exceptional in terms of features in its class, and they keep releasing all these different iterations and players very similar to each other, I thought they were supposed to be stream-lining, I just don't know what the hell they're doing (not very confident that they know either).

I admit, Creative's offerings at CES '08 have been a major letdown. I mean, it's nice that the Stone family is being updated with new features (the built-in speaker may not be very useful, but added AAC support is); but, the new Shuffle lookalike Muvo? What were they thinking? I've stated this time and time again: Creative needs to slough off some of their players and focus on no more than three trim lines: Either the Zen V-series or the Stones (for small flash-based), the Zen (for large flash-based), and something akin to the Vision:M for large HDD-based. Get rid of the WAV and the Muvos and all the other superfluous crap!

Still, there is hope that a replacement for the venerable Vision-series will be announced, if not at CES:
