system date and time on u3 (1.10)

I am using the u3 mostly as recorder, but all my files show up with date and time wrong, always as 1/1/07 12:00 pm. I searched the manual and the web and didn't find anywhere for setting system date and time. So I ask the forum here if anyone knows about this...

Have you paired with your computer? It gets it's time setting from your computer's clock.

i am using a mac, i can transfer files using the finder (like windows explorer), but I cant run the original cd software (which is just a music player, right??) I tried XNJB but it doesnt recognize the u3. So I dont know how else could I "Pair It" with the computer...
Any ideas?

Well, no. Connecting with the computer is supposed to tell the player what time it is. If your Mac isn't doing that, I would recommend either trying to find someone with a Windows machine, or emailing Samsung with your complaint.

Anyone else have any ideas?

ok i got my girlfriend's pc , installed sms (samsung media studio) in it, connected the u3, recognized it, played a bit with it, but the problem still persists - ie, when do I "pair" it? Exactly WHEN does the PC tell the player what's the time? So that when it records, away form the pc, it knows what's the time....
please help....

I'm stumped. All indication from Samsung implied that simply connecting to a PC would sync it's internal clock. I would contact customer support, unless anyone else has any ideas.
