for sure.. i put a gif as my wallpaper on my computer.. and well i changed it back pretty quickly for 2 reasons, it was really distracting and it slowed my computer down.. probably slowed it down so much because i had it tiled so i had 100 gifs.. looked pretty sweet while it was going though :P

I was reading about OLED displays and it sems that the Blue pixels have a MUCH shorter lifespan than the red or yellow. If your walpaper is blue heavy, you may experience a shorter diplay lifespan.
Of course, it is likely we'll be replacing our ZVM with a newer unit long before we experience display death.

That could be relevant if the ZVM had an OLED display - but seeing as how it's just a standard TFT LCD display, this won't be a problem.

Whee that's big! Maybe a mod can come and reseize it for you. Nice pic, though. I'm a huge astronomy nut. Have you been to http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ ? Excellent source for amazing astro pics, many of them would work fantastically for backgrounds.
