Line out for A810?

Does the A810 have a true line out? If not, is the headphone jack high enough quality and high enough power to drive a line out without distortion?

I doubt the headphone out is going to work for that... it's not particularly high-powered.

It seems pretty clear that there is a line-out functionality in the dock port but as far as I know there is no cable for this at the moment.

I have used the headphone jack as a line out to play through my car speakers, (I have an aux jack) as well as hooked it up through an 8 ch mackie board and 2 JBL speakers and it ROCKED! Works great. I decided to onhook my CD Player from my home stereo and now have a mini to RCA jack in its place. I hook up my Sony player to it. Many people hook up there mp3 players through the head phone jack to use external speakers. One person used it to play music at a dance in a 5000 sqaure ft ballroom for dancing. He ran it through a 4 ch shure mixer and 4 Mackie Powered speakers. Amazing!!

If your worried about High-I then you can run it through a direct box.

I also use the headphone jack to my car stereo, it's not perfect but it works well.
