Sansa fuze release date

Sorry if this is old news but i spotted this website just now.

I found that if you add a sansa fuze to your cart, you see the release date

Sansa 2GB (black) : 3/28/08
Sansa 4gb (any color) : 4/10/08
Sansa 8gb (silver) : 3/28/08

Idont know why the 4gb would be coming out later but at least the other two version should be out soon

Hmmm....I pre-ordered my 8 gig last week and yesterday (Monday) I checked my order status and it said that it had been shipped as of that day!. 3-5 days and I should have it..??. I'll keep you posted.

It's a shame that the 8GB only comes in silver........not as interested in that colour as much as I am in black, but I don't want anything under the 8GB. Lol, I even think they should come out with a 16GB Fuze....

I agree with everything you just said. Now that we're two opinions strong, SanDisk will be sure to update their product line for us...

lol, i dont know, with the way sandisk is handling the color choices, a 16 GB version would be gold colored xD

That seems to be the game plan, going from the Clip to the Fuze to the View.

With them, the Sansa line seems impressive. All it needs is a 64 gb flash player now (or a 128 gb would be sweet--heh).

what we need is a sansa "maximum" 3" screen, 16-32-64gb sizes, the new sound chip, sd expention. i'll buy it, no hesitations what so ever.

someone saw the fuze @ their local BB. didnt see it @ mine (miami, fl), they are still trying to get rid of the e250 @ $59.

Interesting ... acc. to Sandisk, it wasn't going to be released until April. Looking forward to reading your review.

I'm down with this!!! I'll settle for a 16gb Fuze though. I like the mid-size form factor. But a 3" screen and the new sound chip would make me lose it (and lose buying another sony) instantly!!!

Did you use the discount code "FORUM210", and if so, did it actually work (10% off)? I just tried pre-ordering the 8GB Fuze but it didn't apply the discount code, so I backed off before making the actual payment.

I thought it was already being shipped???. A case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. I'm thinking that it was shipped but because of bad timing...Easter weekend etc + 3 days of no mail delivery, it's still in the mail. Again, hopefully this week.

Not to harsh your mellow, but more likely, it hasn't been shipped yet. Folks who've ordered the 4GB Clip from the Sansa Store know that it's a bit of a confused operation ... send email and/or call them with a question, and you'll get as many different answers as the number of times you asked the question.

I didn't have the discount code when I pre-ordered , so I don't know if it would have worked or not.

My order status says that it has been shipped. Just bugs me that it wouldn't be when it says that it is..??.

SanDisk discount code: at least with the Clip 4gb, the discount code would not seem to apply until the Sansa product purchase page had the item in stock (and not just listed for pre-order).

Yep ... thanks for reminding me about this. Didn't the purchase page have the Clip listed as pre-order even after it was in stock? Seems to me I remember some confusion over at the Sansa forums about this.

Anyway, I emailed Shop Sansa and got this reply:

Dear Customer,

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting
Shopsansa.com.

In response to your inquiry, please be advised that 'FORUM210' is a
valid apply code, however it does not apply to items that are on
backorder or for items that are pre-ordered. Please note that you will
have to wait until the item becomes available prior to placing the order
so as you can take advantage of the 10% discount.
