Default I don't like the Sony Media Manager...

I have the NWZ-S618 and I think it's great however Sony Media Manager is poor. It will force 256kbs encoding. Also it will save the all songs under Music folder. I made specific folders based on genere and I save my music based on the genere. I prefer File Explorer since WMP11 will create folder for every artist.

Not sure if you can do this, but try using WMP11 to sync it and you should be good to go, that is if Sony hasn't locked it out like they did on a lot of there other products!

WMP11 works but it will messes up folder view. It will create folders based on artist. I like to do my own collections so I have a lot of verios artist in one "album" WMP11 will open a folder for each artist. Sony has nice feature where you can browse by folders same as in Windows and I like that.

Don't use it. Use WMP11.

Another option is to use MediaMonkey. I recently started using it and I prefer it over Windows Media Player.
