An important but seemingly unanswered question

My apologies if it's been stated somewhere already, but does the Fuze have a custom equalizer? I know that's the reason I never use my Connect anymore and I assumed it was standard when I bought the Connect, but I was proven wrong.

A kind of minor detail, but kind of not. Anybody got the answer?

How many bands and what's the frequency range if it's a typical graphic EQ. If not, what type of EQ (parametric, graphic, band pass, low or high pass, et cetera) does it employ?

I'm not an audiophile, so I'm not sure how to describe it in those terms, and there isn't any additional information on the display.

The equalizer display looks like five vertical sliding bars, each which goes from -12 to 12.

ROMzombie, thank you for your reply. What you said tells me quite a lot.

Those numbers ranging from -12 to 12 are decibels (dBs) which control the amplitude of the sound at five specific frequency ranges, given that there are five bars. It is sort of like bass and treble controls with the bass knob being represented by the lower frequency sliding bars (those toward the left). The treble knob is represented by the higher frequency bars, i.e. those toward the right.

Are there by chance numbers describing the frequency (in Hz or kHz) at the bottom of each of those five vertical sliding bars?
