You actually CAN control BT volume???!!!

Maybe I'm going nuts but can someone watch the video and confirm that he is actually controlling his BT volume?

He's got speakers plugged in, you can see in the first few seconds of the video. For the rest of the time the video is zoomed in so you can't see the plug. This is pretty much confirmed at the end of the video where you see a small glimpse of the plug and then the wired speakers. We will just have to keep dreaming about user selectable BT volume control.
