Sorry if this has been asked/posted before?
When I want to stop listening, I prefer to pause my player and let it do the idle shutdown automatically. But then when I turn it back on it starts from the beginning of the track. Is there any fix for this? I am using the latest firmware 1.32.01. Thanks |

How long do you typically leave the player turned off when you do that?

Pausing is not needed. Just shut it off and it will remember where you were in the track. It is why the player takes some time to shut off/turn on. It seems counter-intuitive, but really once you get used to it, it will be a nice feature.

Yes shutting it down while it is playing remembers the position. But if it is paused before shutdown which happens when you pause it and it shuts down due to idle, the position is lost.
To answer ZenChick, the duration does not matter. I really prefer to pause it to stop it rather than having to insert my finger in the narrow slot for the power button and slide it held for a few seconds to shut it down.... As someone pointed out somewhere, the designers / software / firmware writers of these players -- do they ever use them to see what kind of problems they have...! |
