Default Sansa Shiny Metal Back

Hi,

I remember a while ago someone posted a tutorial on how to turn the metal backing on the Sansa into a shiny metal like the iPod. I've searched the forum and Google and have had no luck finding it.

If anyone has a link to the tutorial that would be great!

Won't that damage the back, not make it shiny?

All he did was polish it. You first use sandpaper in progressively finer grits. Then you would use a cloth or a buffer with polishing compound to get the mirror shine. Yes, you will "damage" it if you are not familiar with this process. It takes patience and concentration to get it right. I myself wouldn't try it unless I could polish metal with ease, and I can't. There really is no damage if you mess up. It will just look bad (massive amount of scratches) and you may not be happy.

That looks awesome, krazykuul! I also have a question for you. An H3Theme has nothing to do with rockbox right?

A bit off topic from shiney metal backs ...

Read the appropriate forum and ask questions there: H3 mod forum here and rockbox forum here. You can also go directly to rockbox here.

Edit: after posting, I noticed that you posted the same question twice, going off topic in two different threads. Hunter1942 please allow time for others to reply, rather than going into another thread and reposting same question.

Sorry, about that. I'll be careful not to do that again.
