Unlucky for you, a dent to the back metal case is permanent. Well, partly true

You could always grind the colour off the back plate with a dremel , completely off , and use a filler with Chemical steel to smooth out the dent.

After painting it black again, it should look like new. :-)

That would be a 2 hour job. Done by yourself.

Not true : The paintjob has to dry properly, 24 hours then :-)

I'd heard the back was anodized, not painted. But that doesn't really seem to be the case. It must be powdercoated then, because it doesn't flake or peel around scratches.

Is it true that the casing is made from stainless steel ?

Question to myself : Would it look cool with the paint stripped from the back and polish the metal really shiney ?

Maybe Fluxx.....maybe. Hm.

Dry ice. If you can get some, you might try dropping a small piece onto the dent. Car repair folks sometimes use dry ice to pop dents out. Thermal change makes metal want to return to it's previous shape. Sometimes. Maybe.

Or you could add more dents. Make a nice pattern out of them.
