[A818] No album art visible on player when tagging w/ MediaMonkey

I'm totally new to MTP devices and was recommended MediaMonkey to tag and provide album art for my albums. What I'm currently doing is navigating to each individual album, highlighting all, selecting 'Auto-tag from web' and adding all the relevant details (including cover art).

However, when I view the albums in my A818 there is no cover art to be seen! Any idea why this might be? Also, if I want to use drag n drop to add album art as jpeg/jpg files, what name do the files need to be recognised in the player as the artwork?

Currently, the best way to add album art is with Mp3Tag using ID3v2.3 (jpg images only). Unfortunately, it's not possible to add album art by just dragging and dropping a picture into the song folder.

Thanks, I have installed Mp3Tag but I can't see a way to navigate to my device and add it as a directory. Any ideas?

[EDIT] Do I have to tag files on my HDD before I transfer them to the player? I'd much rather tag the files on the player because they'e already there and it takes an AGE to transfer 8gb of music!

Mediamonkey can either embed pic to each music file or set up the art.jpg to file folder automatically, depends on how you’ve set up the settings, try help file it's great ... sorry can't help on the road now working. If the settings were correct in mediamonkey, they may already be embedded on your files, you’ll need to refresh db and re-sync.

Thanks, the settings are configured to add the artwork to the tag and put in the folder automatically.

In MediaMonkey, when I Auto-tag the albums with artwork, it might show up next to the album or in the artwork display panel (bottom, left) but if I refresh, or navigate away from the folder and come back to it the artwork is gone.

Even though I've already supposedly added artwork when tagging, when I go to 'Properties > Album Art', there is nothing there. I can even add the artwork manually, and it will show up until I refresh or navigate away.

Any ideas?

Apologises Audity, I’m on the road and don’t have my personal computer with me so I won’t be of any help till late … there are lots of other members that use it and one should be able to help. Don’t give up cause once you get it working the way you want, you’ll love the simplicity. I even have used it to embed scanned album art that I’ve been unable to find on the net.
