Where can you buy the A818?

You might have trouble finding it in stores. Did you try the Sonystyle website? Target website? Some retailers that have stores might not be stocking it in the stores though. The A818 is quite expensive when compared to the A816. around $60 more in price for 4 extra gigs of storage? The A816 seems like a reasonable value, but for the cost of an A818 you could get a Cowon D2 4 gigs plus a 4 gig SD card, a 16 gig Creative Zen, an 8 gig fuze plus an 8 gig micro SD card. A Cowon i7 8 gig is around $30 less than the Sony A818, while the Cowon i7 16 gig is only around $30 more than the Sony A818. i guess part of the reason that the A818 is in few store is that it is not a good value compared to other players that are available(imo the 4 gig A816 at under $100 is a good value though), and that it is an older model and stores would rather stock the newer Sony models.

Excellent point. I see the Sony NWZ-A728 for just $160 on the Walmart website.
