Amazon has 8GB Fuze for $116

I just checked yesterday and they had it for $116. I sent an e-mail for a price match since they sold it to me on 5-25 for $129. No biggy but let's see if they honor their 30 day guarantee.

Crazy cheap? It is only 11% less than the suggested retail price of $130. There are a few stores which sell the 8 gig for around $120. While each dollar saved is nice, $4 is not that exciting. My definition of "crazy cheap" would be 40% or more off the suggested retail price. I guess that is too much to expect though, at least for the near future. A sale with 25% off though, or $97.50 would be nice though. I have no idea what the wholesale price is now, or if a dealer would use mp3 players as a "loss leader".

Thanks, EZ. I just submitted my "Post-Order Price Guarantee" request to Amazon as well. I bought mine on 5/29, so a $16.99 credit would be quite nice.

At first I didn't think I'd like the silver Fuze.......they hadn't come out anywhere where I live, and the only thing I could compare them with was the silver Clip. The silver Clip looks more like the photoshopped Fuze in that amazon.com page you've linked, Enzo......more bright and shiny, with it's reflective front face.

The Fuze isn't like that at all....it's more closer to a pewter silver, IMO, and the front is a glossy-coated metallic silver, and the back is a solid-feeling flat metallic silver material.....not rubberized, like your review described the black Fuze, but metallic, I think: it's very scratch-resistant, and almost has a texture similar to the liquid metal back of the e200 Sansas. The whole player is very solid, and has some heft to it for something so small and thin as it is (which I like, not light and plasticky-feeling like the Clip). The screen is not hidden like the LED of the silver Clip......

I actually like the design very much, compared to what I imagined it might be like, from the image on the amazon.com site.....

Justin, I had to call them after a week because I never got a response via e-mail. The price had bumped up to $118 since I submitted. The gal from India, named Lisa, was a PITA to deal with but after a few minutes she found my e-mail. I got the credit finally.

So call them if you have not heard from them.
