Default Deleted songs stay on ZVM???

I am still using my older ZVM to start off with. Anyways, using Windows I first deleted all my music library. Then when I put new music on it, the old stuff was still there. So then I deleted it using Creative MediaSource 5 (CMS5). Still there. So I did a disk cleanup and format. Thought it would be gone but at least some music previously deleted is still there. It did not show up in CMS5 when I put new music on after the format. I am confused and not sure if this is a faulty player or I am doing something wrong????

Deleting from within Windows (Explorer?) should have gotten rid of them as should a format for sure. How are you looking at them when you still see the files; on the ZVM itself or the computer? Make sure you don't have any software automatically syncing songs again when you open it. I would avoid making any changes from with MS since it is known for not actually making changes to the files themselves but within its own library. I would also consider using a different program instead of MS for syncing and organization.
