Why the heck did I just get TWO free microSD cards?!?!?

Well, this isn't exactly a complaint, but I just snatched the mail and, in addition to a fresh, blue pair of JVC Marshmallows, I found two identical, chartreuse-colored envelopes from SanDisk. Suddenly, a thought went through my head about the free 512MB microSD card I was supposed to be getting from the freebie deal that came with my Fuze, now going on six weeks old. But two envelopes? How peculiar...

Inside, they both read:

Congratulations!
Here's your free gift for your Sansa Fuze MP3 player.
Enjoy your Sansa Sessions music sampler
preloaded on this microSD card.

And, behold: they each held a brand-new, free 512MB microSD card. I have absolutely no idea why on Earth I got two of them, but I'm a happy camper right about now! I can pop one in my even newer Sansa Express, and then use the other one for whatever under the sun I see fit - I could throw it in the adapter that came with the 8GB microSDHC card that came with my Fuze and have an extra SD card, for all I care.

So, uh, am I the first person to experience this unexpected joy?

a 1GB card cost 6-7 bucks so even though tis nice, it's not the biggest "hurray" of the century

I got two as well. Hard to get too excited about 512MB, but hey, free is always good. Might be useful in my phone.

Maybe they just don't think they're going to be able to sell them anymore and decided to put an extra one with the first. Always better to make someone happy than to throw them away.

I'll probably be getting a new digital camera sometime in the late summer to early fall, so I could just stick it in my SD adapter...I don't think I need another memory card. Or do I?

Wow. Two months ago I had virtually nothing from SanDisk, and now I have one of their flash drives, two of their MP3 players, and three of their memory cards. Ridiculous.

yep, I've had many Sandisk products in the recent years and they are good.

mine also came with 2 of these sessions cards, both were preloaded with the same stuff, i sold one, other is in my phone
