Default Insignia Pilot 8gb: "**ERROR** Can't Open File Now"

I took the plunge and purchased a Pilot 8gb this past Sunday and have been using it actively for the last 3 days. Today, I got an error message about the files on the Pilot when I connected it to my XP Pro PC. I disconnected it and could not get the Pilot turned off with the slide switch. Mind you everything was working fine for the past 3 days. I am using about 4gb of memory on the Pilot, music and videos. Long story short, I slide the power switch to the on/off position and held it there for 15 seconds and the unit finally turned off. I then turned it back on , and everything works fine again. No files appear to be corrupted, Maybe its just a fluck. I did notice that after this episode, when I reconnected the Pilot to the PC, it found new hardware and reloaded the Pilot's device driver. Other than this, I am well satisfied with the Pilot and will continue to get educated on its use. By the way, and my videos I got from using Handbrake in the classic mode, and then converting using ArcSoft Media Converter 2.
