Default Zip linq wall adapter issues.

Recently i purchased a usb to wall and car power adapter from zip linq.
After attaching my zen and plugging the adapter into the wall, my zen turned on, but does not appear to be charging, simply ....on.

Here is the product.

If anyone has any ideas as to why it is not working, that would really help me out.
Thanks

Never, ever connect a wall charger to the ZVM's USB port. At best, it won't work; at worst, it will fry your player!

If your player still works, then it is probably fine; but you should plug it into your computer and verify that it still docks and is recognized.

Yes, a PSP charger is fine, and is the best alternative to the official charger. Just be sure you plug it into the round DC-IN jack on your dongle.

anyways, thank you, i plugged in my zen and it was recognized, docked, and appears to be charging now, the walla adapter was only 5V Dc .5 A for output, so i think i got lucky...

so...psp, chargers....are there more then one type of them? or is there just one that you cant go wrong with?

You don't have a dongle with your player (the white subpack that plugs into the data port)?

Are you certain you have a Zen Vision:M?

The .5A is what probably saved you. USB can only output up to 500mA, so since your adapter didn't output more current (and may also be fairly well regulated), you most likely didn't do any harm to your ZVM. Still, not knowing for sure the quality or condition of the charger (and knowing the ZVM's sensitivity to charging over USB), I wouldn't feel comfortable with continuing its usage together.
