viewing this as a replacement for the A3 how is the battery life crappy when its an improvement over old battery specs on the music and video

which was 10 hours or so audio and 7 video.

So huge improvement on those which = hooray

I know the captain posted the Norwegian pricing on the front page, but I was tooling around the net to see if I could find any info for USA release dates and found the European pricing for the O2 media player. First off, I sure hope they offer the 32gb in black too and second off ... A bit on the high side, sure hope we get better pricing here :/

In 99% of the cases $ = € which means Europe gets f*cked. I doubt it'll be that expensive in the USA.

most of the european countries get 18 or 20% tarriffs at least on shit coming into the country. So all those prices figure at least 15% lower prices in america which would probably then be

32gb - 399
16gb - 349 or 299
8gb - 299 or 249

Ouch... that video doesn't really inspire confidence in Cowon's GUI.

Why the hell do they waste the main screen with that much blank space and only 4-5 icons in a row? There certainly seems no need for those stupid up/down arrows, all icons could be fit easily on one screen. We already have that issue with too many redundant clicks on the D2.

The hourglass at video startup and the lag between some screens are a turn-off as well. Either the Flash GUI is overly bloated (no wonder with crappy Flash stuff), or the processor is too slow.

Main icons could be smaller, but other icons seem quite a bit too small for finger use.

But we all know by now that initial firmware releases for Cowon's new players are barely more than beta status.

I'm still hoping for the best at this stage dfkt, but the O2 is starting to look like a letdown. Pray the S9 makes up for it (Hail Mary,......).
