I spent great time and care updating all my music using Tag&Rename. Each artist is in a seperate folder and there is a folder.jpg file of the album cover for each artist/album. What would make them not show up on the Pilot when playing a song? Some do and some don't.
Insight? |

Example:
I have 3 x 3 Doors Down albums Each album is in it's own folder within the 3 Doors Down folder Each folder.jpg album image file is approx 500 x 500 and is 24bits Yet only one album shows its image when playing on the pilot. Man that's annoying! |

Ahh, when I copied my ID3v1 tags to ID3v2 tags, the images showed up on the Pilot. It seems the Pilot looks for the embedded images in the v2 tags. I am going to update them all just to be certain. Tricky bastard! |

I used MediaMonkey or MP3 Tag Tools, and made all of my album art exactly 200x200 or smaller.
They all work.

Is that a requirement? To be smaller than 200x200?

i'm not sure, but that's how i've done mine, and i dont really see a need to go any bigger...the images don't come out ugly or anything.
but yes, i've only used 200x200 or 50x50.

I've had good luck with 250x250, but also note that progressive jpegs can cause problems on the Pilot. I think that's the deal with the "black square" album art. If you see the question mark instead, it just means the Pilot doesn't see anything relevant to display (not embedded, not in the id3v2 tag, or maybe you used id3v2.4).
