"No audio content" for soundless video

I am trying to load an american sign language dictionary of videos onto my ZVM 60. I can get the movies formatted and loaded but, when I play them, nearly half of the screen is blacked out with a message telling me that there is "no audio content." Which, I KNOW!!!

These are only 3 second clips and I can't see the hand gestures at all because of the terrifically informative message it gives me.

Any ideas?? If I were to try to add muted sound files to each clip it would take forever. We are talking about a full dictionary of a complex language after all.

It seems like a simple task but, I'm totally stuck.
