I have a recently bought my husband a Creative Zen Plus (refurbished). He has a large collection of music in his music library and some songs will transfer ok, most of these have been downloaded from Limewire. It seems some songs he has in his music library that he had put on from CDs are not playing. The screen gives a message 'Playback Error' and skips to the next song. He is using WMP 11 to transfer the songs.
(By the way sorry if this has already been asked, couldn't find it in the threads already here). thanks naomi |

Hello Naomi Ireland. Welcome to ABI.
It sounds like the files that are generating the "Playback Error" are just not in a playable format or are encoded with an incompatible setting for the Zen V or may have embedded DRM. I would first verify their format type and bitrate. You can try re-encoding them to a known workable encoding and format that is playable. Good luck!
