Default Sansa e270 "Bricked"

Please Please help

I've done just about everything getting my e270 back. Tried every method. O.K.

Tried:http://www.**********/support/t34896...zed_usb_device
Tried:http://fixmysansa.blogspot.com/
Tried:http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum...ad.php?t=17040
to name a few.
Getting this w/lsusb: Bus 004 Device 002: ID 0781:0720 SanDisk Corp. Sansa C200 series in recovery mode
Should it say Sansa c200 when it is a e270? Should it not say recovery mode when I'm trying to get into manufacturing mode?

Not able to see 16mb partition. It puts a 0 byte plain text document in my filesystem/media folder called "disk" I'm unable to delete that file for it to work right and mount. Can't mount drive. I don't see it.

E200tools result :

Used command "lsmeg"(not correct don't remember it exactly) didn't show that my drive is mounted.
Tried ubuntu, kubuntu live cd, nothing.
All methods work to a point but I don't see the mounted drive to copy the files into it.
Hopefully somebody can point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Why did you do that? You need to write the bootloader to the e200 and not the i2c.

Get this before I write bootloader, this is not a c200.
lsusb: Bus 004 Device 002: ID 0781:0720 SanDisk Corp. Sansa C200 series in recovery mode

I suppose i'm in recovery mode after bootloader, how would i know disk will not mount show or anything.

Did you mount it after it got done? I do not know the mount point tho. Then you drag and drop the bootloader and firmware to the recovery mode.

Please explain when you say mount, do you mean do I see it?
There is still no mounting of the 16mb partition. Should it be filesystem/media ? Where else could it pop up at?

dmesg does not bring in up.

Thought I tried it before, tried it 3 times just now. no go
Should it be listed next to the bottom of the readout of dmesg, if the partition was there?

Have you tried reseatting the daughter card? You will need to open it up.

Edit: Sometimes pushing the black pad under the battery cover works.

Go into recovery mode and reinstall the firmware and use "sansa.fmt" to see if that fixes that.

Finally I got it to mount after 125 or so times don't ask me how. I believe i had the back cover off w/battery out. Seen 16mb dumped .rom, mi4,fmt in disk. It booted in OF Ok for 3 times on and off, then it kept freezing on me. So now I finally got in to boot enough in the OF so I changed the setting to msc and downloaded and installed the new firmware 1.02.24. Getting ready to rockbox again or should I?

You should be safe installing Rockbox if you got it running again.

I give up. I want to thank you advcomp2019 for your help and suggestions but I think it's a bad one. I was able to format 3 different times. Fresh installation of OF w/ and w/out Rockbox. After cycling (on and off) it would do fine 3 or 4 times through rockbox and OF then it would just go back to black screen and blue ring. Once I thought I had it fixed it played awhile w/music downloaded to it. I can get to recovery but now it won't let me unmount the volume. Tried it through terminal command of umount -v /media/16mb-format. It says data needs to write to disk.Since I'm unable to umount it, then it will not format or do a reinstallation of the firmware. Screen will go show wierd colors at times when it freezes.

The daughter board has two chips on it correct? To reset it do I take the board completely out?
