Default Ordered Another One

I just purchased another one at this price. I love these Vision M's. Eventualy these wil all be gone so now I will have two. The one I have now as stated above works fine but the port on the mother board must be bad. I can sometimes get it to charge but last night I tried to get it to dock with computer and everything says "Plug in your device" and it does not recognize the player. I think the connectors are bad as you have to jiggle the AC dongle to get it to charge. I guess I will try to get one from E-Bay and just replace it (motherboard) so I have a new connector that way. Gee I will end up with three of these if it all works as planned. LOL.

I've had a Sleek Photo for a couple of years without ever hitting reset, and my jukebox 2 went for 5 years without a reset.

I'll be arranging for a return/replacement. I'll let you know how it goes.
Okay, the first unit went back on October 13, and I got the replacement on November 4. The second unit seems to work well and it looks absolutely perfect, but ...

When I went into the system menu the previous owner's name was still programmed in. At least, I think it was the previous owner's name.

So now I'm curious -- I assume this info (owner's name) is stored on the hard disc?

Anyway, I'm going to put it through it's paces pretty rigorously over the next few weeks to try to find any troubles before the (short refurb) warranty runs out.

Well since the owner was listed as someones name, I take it wasn't the hard drive that was replaced to make it a refurb.

Yes, it looks great -- no scratches or wear. Everything seems to be working fine and it sounds great.

As far as the hard drive goes, except for the former owner's name everything else seems to have been restored to "new" condition -- no stray songs on it, all other settings back to the default, etc.

I believe Creative does have a good history of their refurbs being in good condition. More here.

The two Vision M's I ordered were delivered yesterday. Both loaded right up, charged fully and I must say I can't tell them from brand new. There is no scratches at all on these units. Cosmetic Condition is A++++++.

Default Buying refurbished

Hey guys and girls,

I have been wanting an M for a long time, I didn't know it was going to go out of stock as it has and the price is in the $400s in amazon. I saw that they were offering refurbished models for $120 on the same site. Is it worth trying and risking it? What's everyone's opinion on this? Thank you!

Yeah, from the feedback I've heard, Creative refurbs are pretty good.

I order'd mine for 110, with free shipping. Altogether I paid 118 with tax, from the creative website last month, for mine.
