Digital radio in all models?

I've noticed in a demonstration video that there was a choise for DBM (digital radiobroadcast) in the main screen.
This option is not present on my SPINN player.

With one of my other players (meizu M6), I had the following:
FM-radio not present, but after upgrading the firmware with a us-version, I was able to use the radio.

If all the needed DBM hardware is also present in the SPINN, then it must be the firmware who is limiting the hardware.

At the moment I can not find any firmware-upgrades for the SPINN.
Even the iriver-software does not recognize the player as a SPINN-model!
Maybe it is still early days.

My current firmware is version 1.21M

There is no DMB on the international models, only on the Korean ones. I assume the Korean S-DMB band doesn't work in any other country (not sure about T-DMB): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital...ng#South_Korea

Technically T-DMB is compatible with DAB so if the hardware is in the Spinn and enabled in the firmware it should work. Has anyone tried a Korean player to see if it can pick up DAB transmissions in the UK? Does anyone know if iRiver has plans to make the Spinn DAB compatible in firmware or add the hardware into a new model etc.
