Hopefully the US version of 2.0 will show up before the end of the week. I understand why Korea gets the updates first since it's a Korean product. I'm just anxious.

Non asian FW for SPINN version 2.1 already showed up. For the web site with the download link take a look ot one of the posts on the first page of this thread.

Page Firmware 2.1 non Korean
Hi

Can you place here a download link to this new 2.1 non Asia firmware. I can't finde it anywhere It's sad that it's taking them so much time to release an official firmware for Europe and US

One warning. The Korean version had the ability to shedule an FM recording. The US version, although it has FM recording, has lost the feature to schedule it.

Firware 2.0 is out, but i cant figure out how to update it! it says that i could not find update info in the INF file! i dont get it!!!

download the files, extract to desktop,
drag and drop to root of Spinn folder.
Done!

Also, does anyone know what the M after the number is?

Does anyone have the original firmware(1.21) so I can downgrade? I ask this b/c now that I upgraded to 2.1 my spinn is no longer recognized by napster for some reason. The only common denomenator is the different firmware version(that i can think of).

It might be that when you upgraded for whatever reason the USB connection mode thingo switched from either MSC to MTP or vice-versa.

At least, I'm saying this because iriver plus 3 only works with it if it's in MSC (that or something was wrong with it ).

That's what I thought as well.
Only problem is that in the "upgraded" firmware the settings menu no longer has the option to manually change the connection type.

Has any one else experienced this besides me?

If it turns out that the connection type IS the problem I cannot find a way to manually change it back to MTP.

I have version 2.1 using MSC(UMS) and the option to change connection type has not moved. It is still in SET/Advanced/Connection Type

I like this new firmware with the big album art and the memo function etc. But...
Why did they have to mess up the shuffle function? First of all if you press previous it doesn't go back to the previous song, but it chooses a random song. (I know that's shuffle, but it was different before the fw upgrade). Second, it regularly creates some sort of loop of about 10 to 15 songs which it plays in the same order again and again. The only thing to solve this is to press the previous button again.
Am I the only one with this problem or have you guys experienced this too??
