Default Does the screen scratch easily?

I just got the Zen and i like it a lot but unfortunately it doesnt work with my computer.. but at least it works with the other computer in the house.

So anyway, does the screen scratch really easily? it'll take a while till i find a screen protector but till then ill probably use it without a cover or anything

Yes, yes it does. If you're anal like I am I would suggest getting a screen protector pronto, you can order the ones for the zen, off numerous sites like amazon, new egg and walmart.

Oh ok.. then ill go for the invisibleSHIELD stuff. It looks better than any other cover i've seen.

And does the back scratch easily as well?

Which one is better? Best Skins or invisibleSHIELD?

invisibleSHIELD = $24.95 + Shipping and Lifetime Warranty
BSE Skin - $6.99 + Shipping ($2.50) and no real need for warranty.

Difference:

Q. What's the difference between The Best Skins Ever and the 'Shield' skins that cost $25 dollars (US)?
A. Other than price... it's the SAME THING.

Haha.. Alright a few more question before im convinced. In the thread that you posted before, there were pictures of the Ipod Touch where the skin on the front had a wierd texture. Is that just a fake illusion/effect from the flash/etc. or is it always there?

2) Do your finger prints leave a mark on the skin from BSE?

3) Is the skin scratch proof like the invisibleSHIELD? Will it scratch or anything if i have it in my pocket with my cell phone?

4) How long does it take to come?

1. See my pics of the Zen with a BSE skin on here.
2. Having the BSE skin on makes the Zen much more finger print resistant. Without, I couldn't stand it.
3. Very durable. From the same link above:

Quote:
Q. Are the Best Skins Ever scratch proof?
A. Almost. Best Skins Ever have a forgiving, almost self-healing characteristic. They're not scratch proof but they're a lot less prone to scratching than the screens on today's small electronics. To our knowledge there isn't a product on the market that is actually scratch proof

1 last (hopefully) question even though im already convinced. Is the skin at the same level as the invisibleSHIELD in terms of scratches?

I couldn't tell you..... I've seen both and they seem identical really. It would depend on how you use them. For $6.99, buy another if you are extra hard on it. I've had my BSE skin on my Zen for almost a year and it still looks great.

Alright thanks a lot for answering all those questions. Very helpful. And i'm assuming the skin doesnt just come off after a while and is glued pretty firmly on the player since you've had yours for a year

i just put a nintendo ds screen protector on it (had to cut it a bit), works perfectly
doesnt look too nice when its turned off, but when the screen is turned on, all the scratched form the protector become invisible.

Ok now im pissed off..

The back was on just fine but the first time i put the front on, i wasnt happy so i took it off and placed it again. Still wasnt happy because of these 2 groups of dots on the screen. I tried scratching/taking the dots off but it didnt work.. so now i have these marks on my screen.. Hopefully by tomorrow it'll look a little bit better because i'm very disappointed right now. (not necessarily with the BSE)
