Video rotation

I just grabbed an 8Gb Fuze today at Costco. Great deal. Have an e270 also. Seems I've had some flakiness with the e200 v1 since I've had it so trying the Fuze.

Anyway, I converted video using the current version SMC. But, the video needs to be rotated. I cannot seem to find a way to rotate the videos so I can use the wide screen format (I think you know what I'm trying to say).

Have you tried a video on it? I think it does not rotate like the e200 series does.

Well the e200 never rotated on mine. I often had to turn the player sideways. With the Fuze the screen looks more wide screen format so that should be the default. However, I'm having to turn the screen which makes no sense to me. Now, a variety of the movies I play on the e200 can be viewed without have to turn the player to watch but even when watching on the Fuze I do have to turn the player.

Somethings screwy.

Turning the e200 series sideways is normal. The Fuze will not need too.

One would think so. I have a Fuze and like I said I'm having to turn it sideways. Now what? Is there a way to rotate video with a program to re-orientate it?

Yes, there is a way, but I have not used the program tho.

What are you using to convert your video?. I've never had to rotate my video playing on my Fuze. I use ***** Video to MP4 Converter to convert my .avi's to .mov then run them through SMC. Video is oriented correctly. Takes longer but I like the results I get. Worth a shot to try?

Do you know which version? I screwed up and unistalled the Arcsoft version that I had. I thought it did. I managed to find another older version but it doesn't have this feature. The SMC I have now is InterVideo. I did reinstall another Arcosoft version I found on the Web but it seems to be an older version without the rotation... it's v1.21.7.1 (or similar). Or perhaps the rotation was stripped out of the version I know have from Arcsoft and it's an older version. Not sure.

My SMC version is the same as yours the (new) Intervideo one. My ***** version is 5.1xxx

Good point actually as they seem to be using a different SMC for the Fuze than the e200.

Ok...so it looks like the SMCs are different between the e200 and Fuze. I noticed the SMC I got with my e200 would not recognize the Fuze. Crap, how am I going to get the videos rotated correctly?

it's not SMC SBMongoos. Its the video format. With ***** I can take an .avi and convert it to .mov and that SAME file and run it through SMC and it will play on both my Fuze and e260. I have done this before and it works.

Edit: the conversion works but I still have to turn my e260 sideways like normal to view. Sorry about leaving that out.

No idea what I'm doing wrong. Seems simple enough. Hell...I'm trying to move videos over to the Fuze and the formats are listed as types to convert but they are failing. No reason given. A few I did transfer are rotated so I have to turn the Fuze to watch them.
