Default Zune 30 - converting divx files

What do people recommend. I have tried many and the results are mixed.

Looking for freeware.

The best was Free Video Convertor but the video stuttered. It was FAST!

Now using Any Video Convertor free version. Works OK but is VERY slow.

Didn't like SUPER and Encode360 crashed under Vista.

Thoughts?

For the Zune 30 I use "Free Zune Converter" Link
It is just a frontend for ffmpeg but works good

Settings I use for just about anything:
WMV Ver2; Bitrate:500; FPS 29.97; Audio: 128kbps Auto Freq; Auto Resolution.

Tried the Free Zune Convertor and Zune software tried to convert the files (even though they are WMV) and the conversion failed.

the WMV plays fine in Zune Software.

Any ideas?

check your settings.
Audio should be set to stereo 44.1 khz 128 or less cbr
video codec must be WMV 8 or 9. 500 to 700 kbps. single pass.

Those settings above are not all available in the "Free Zune Convertor"

Changed the settings as close to above and still nothing works. Plays in Zune software but wont sync. Trys to convert and fails.

Remove the Zune software and reinstall it.

Thanks, but just going to use Any Video Creator instead. It works perfectly just deathly slow!
