Default Zune Marketplace Log in trouble

OK, here is the legacy of my issue and I am running out of places to turn to.
I had the 14 day free trial Zune pass and I downloaded a lot of music. All was well, and I fell in love with my Zune all over again. Then, silly me, I let the membership lapse before getting the 1 month membership and that is when all my problems started. First my Zune would not buy any songs stating that I didn't have enough music points (as though I didn't have a pass) so I figured out that my software no longer had my device listed and I fixed it. Now, my zune device keeps saying the following message:

Cant' sign in. Please check your user name and password the next time you connect to your PC.

This is all fine and dandy except that I never changed my user name and password. Every time I log into my computer it comes up with a message saying that the device is unable to connect and asks me to relog into my account. I have done this many times (I even changed my password to make sure it was correct) and every time I log in, I am able to download songs off of the PC and sync them to my device. But then when I try to connect through a wifi, it gives me the same message on my device.

I don't have a wifi near my house to trouble shoot at home and I really am running out of ideas. PLEASE HELP!
