Most of what I want is already in Rockbox, so I'd like to see Sandisk support the rockbox developers.
More realisticly, Folder and filename navigation would be nice. |

I need to stress gapless playback again.
I was listening to my Beatles' "Love" compilation, and the songs all tie together, but there is this hideous "gap" between the songs, so nothing sounds right. Please, please!!! Gapless playback please!! |

I want my Fuze to tell me how wonderful I am when I turn it on

A Desktop like feature that has a clock and widgets and then when you press the home button you can go into the standard scrolling selection screen and to go back there should be an option (like video, music, photo, radio, settings) called desktop or something. Then we could have cool widgets and customizable backgrounds.
They should also release a themeing program like Nokia did for their phones (carbideUI). Apps and Games An Alarm so if you sleep with music, your mp3 player will wake you up, or if you plug it into speakers it'll wake you up. You should be able to set this to radio, a song or a buzzer. If the player is in standby mode, it turns on to alert you of the time. |

That "Desktop" feature, will never happen on a screen this small.

I would much rather they concentrate on fixing the things that need it, rather than adding games and crap that I already have (and don't use) on my phone.

I want just five simple things:
1. Larger selection of wallpaper colors that aren't just more varieties of blue. I want purple! 2. Easier method for getting video clips and photos on the Fuze. 3. Gapless playback! ![]() 4. The ability to create and save playlists on the go. My Zen Touch lets me create playlists, name them, and remembers them for next time I start up the player. I would love to be able to do that on the Fuze as well. 5. While on the subject of the Touch, when browsing by song, artist, album, or any other category, it allows me to skip forward to a specific letter. So I find Iron Maiden by going to I and then scroll five steps. On the Fuze I have to scroll forever. This feature would be wonderful to have. In case Sandisk is reading this, pelase prioritize 4 and 5!

I love the Ogg Vorbis support (.OGG), but it would be nice if they added support for the new (?) .OGA container.

I used to play in a symphony orchestra, and while I passionately hate playing Mozart's pieces (he had some difficulties grasping that not everyone is as talented as he was), seeing the sheet music and hearing the various sections playing their own melodies one after the other, and then put them together one by one, taught me to hear the parts that make up the whole, and not just the finished product that is a symphony (or requiem).
I listen to Metallica, and I hear the melody playing on the lead guitar, and how it weaves in with the tunes on the keyboard, followed by the bass guitar, and the vocals become the last piece that turns the whole thing into something far greater than the sum of those little parts... it becomes Unforgiven, or Welcome Home. Emily Dickinson was the first poet I read where I started to actually pay attention to what she was writing and wanted to say, and since then, I am incapable of ignoring the lyrics when I listen to music. So I like Iron Maiden because of the first one of their songs I that really listened to, and it's still my favorite of all the tracks they have recorded: I'm waiting in my cold cell when the bell begins to chime Reflecting on my past life, and it doesn't have much time 'Cause at 5 o'clock they take me to the Gallows Pole The sands of time for me are running low When the priest comes to read me the last rites I take a look through the bars at the last sights Of a world that has gone very wrong for me Can it be there's been some sort of an error? Hard to stop the surmounting terror Is it really the end not some crazy dream? Somebody please tell me that I'm dreaming It's not easy to stop from screaming But words escape me when I try to speak Tears they flow but why am I crying? After all am I not afraid of dying? Don't I believe that there never is an end? As the guards march me out to the courtyard Someone calls from a cell "God be with you" If there's a God then why has he let me die? As I walk all my life drifts before me And though the end is near I'm not sorry Catch my soul 'cause it's willing to fly away Mark my words I believe my soul lives on Don't worry now that I have gone I've gone beyond to see the truth When you know that your time is close at hand Maybe then you'll begin to understand Life down there is just a strange illusion Hallowed be Thy name Sorry... I'll stop hijacking this thread now. I, er, love music a little bit. ![]() Last edited by Chili; 03-18-2009 at 10:30 PM. Reason: formatting |

Must be faulty hardware, if you still have warranty, that might be covered.
