Hi all
will be getting hands on an S738 for Xmas, largely to replace an aged PSP. I can convert videos to either WMV format, MP4 or H.264 MP4s. Is there any preference for a file format? That is, in terms of quality of the output? My 'practice run' with a movie, had the wmv at the largest file size, followed by h.264 and last by mp4. I'm kind of hoping that the h.264 is the best option. TIA |

The correct aspect of the problem is this: what format gives the best quality for a given bit rate, because the bit rate of the video (and audio) determines the file size.
In this regard, H.264 is the best choice because the quality is very good even for low bit rates. Of course, it will be encoded as mp4 file. |

Yeah as above I'd recommend H.264 codec in an .mp4 container

Thanks, H.264 in an Mp4 container it is then.
