Default Computer wiped, now sansa doesn't work.

Hello all,
Around September my HP computer (with Vista) started having problems and we took it to get fixed. Apparently there were corrupted files on it and the computer had to be wiped. Since then I have charged my sansa (which i've had about 6 months) several times but never tried to put any more songs on it. Today I tried to add more songs but the computer won't recognize the sansa for some reason, although I have had no problems with that in the past. I know it is a problem with my computer and not the sansa becuase I have tried other computers and they all recognized the sansa. Any ideas as to what is wrong? Any help would be greatly appricated. Thank you.

Sounds like you have a MTP driver issue. Since Vista has the driver built in, it should work.

What happens you look at your Device Manager?

Okay my bad, it does show up under the device manager but after a minute the device manager said not responding at the top and then the sansa disappeared.

Sounds like a cable or USB port issue. Have you tried a different computer? How about a different cable?

Sounds like your computer is having a driver issue then. Just do not know where to start if this is a clean install of Windows Vista.
