I just bought this for my gf and have noticed one big drawback of the spinn. We can't charge this without a computer. Even worse, the specs for this device just state standard USB, however the interface to the device is not a standard USB interface.
Since we travel a lot and don't tend to take our laptop with us, spend a lot of time in civilization or sitting in an internet cafe. I need something I can just plug into a power outlet and let it charge, but I don't know what to get. Can anyone tell me 1. What type of USB connection the spinn uses? 2. If there is a power plug charger available? Any help is much appreciated. |

If you take the SPINN's cable with you, any AC>USB wall wart will work. You stick the end that normally plugs into your PC into the charger instead. Something like THIS. You can also find USB chargers that plug into your car's 12v port for the same effect.

When I bought my Clix 2, I persuaded the seller to offer me an AC charger. Fortunately, it is compatible with SPINN too.

1) The SPINN (and also the Cowon S9 if you have heard of that player) use a non-standard USB connection - 20 pin. Popular in Korea. Although it is USB, it is not the kind of USB we all know and love.
2) I don't know of any but you can take a look at the one bbq posted above me. ~Relyt

![]() According to the pin definition of the port, I think it is OK to use an adapter. Only GND and VCHRG pins are involved in this problem. |
