in one of the videos i heard that the P3 has a tempered glass screen. i was just wondering if this was true, and if there is a solid reference. cause to my knowledge, that means that it is more scratch resistant and i will less likely need a screen protector which would be awesome.
Thanks |

Is the samsung p3 going to have better scree quality than the new sony touch player or the cowon s9, or the iriver spin?

Nope. The S9 and the Spinn have better screens, since they both use AMOLED, while the P3 does not.

However, that doesn't mean that the P3's screen will be bad... It's just not super amazing.

Not to hijack this topic, but will the P3 have a capacitance touch screen?

Yes. Same as the P2.

Samsung makes AMOLED screens for others... I don't know why they decided to put an inferior screen (TFT) to the P3 that is their new mp3 player. I will never understand why they don't use their best screen (AMOLED) for their own players. even a chimp would had put AMOLED to the P3 instead of TFT-LCD when the P3 was being design. I hope they don't make the same mistake with future mp3 players. The S9 with the AMOLED screen looks great.

They know the real truth about AMOLED at the moment, and not using it on their own devices suggests to me that it's rated lifespan (organics decay) may not be up to their own standards (yet). The other option could be that they are reserving AMOLED's improved video and photo rendering for the P4.

the lifespan is long enough to get bored of the P3 and get a P4 or a P5 in the future
