Hi everyone,
I just got this player and used the Content transfer software. When it shows the folders according to type (Music, Video etc), there is an "Other" folder which is 32MB and is not accessible from the software. I looked in Windows explorer but couldn't locate the contents. Also in the help file in screen components there is a screenshot of the player showing 336MB, so this folder exists.... Do you know what's this and if I can remove it? Thanks |

It MIGHT contain system info that you can't touch, hence no access!!!

Thanks Darkside, it makes sense but It would be helpful if someone that owns the same series player could verify it.

I just sold my A829 & S639, and it had the same "untouchable" folder, so it is a verification.

Content Transfer is a common aplication for more models, not just for the one that comes with. So the "other" folder is inactive just because your player lacks certain functions that others might have. You might see something similar in folder structure. When you format the player it will create folders that are unusable, but they appear in the folder structures of other sony products, like the PSP, for example (you'll see two folders for pictures, whereas the E436F uses only one).
