sony walkman e435f battery problem.

i just bought my sony walkman e435f 2gb player.it's almost a week old.thing is,the battery drains even when the player is off which is weird.do i need to use the player till the battery get efficient or do i need to send the player to the service center?

Reset and reformat the player, and if the problem persists, exchange it for another. It's not supposed to drain like it is.
