Insignia Sport NS-2V17 Problems I have

I just got my player yesterday and i hooked it up.It worked the first time but when i tried hooking it back up i came up as a unknown device.I've tried everything i could to no luck.Think one of you could help? I'd be muey appreciated.

On your player trying playing around with the connection type, switching between Automatic and File&Folder.

Assuming you have XP...

Go in your device manager -> view -> show hidden devices. Make sure that you uninstall any 'Unknown devices' in the USB and disk drive sections. Then try re-plugging it in.

You could also try different USB ports. For reach USB port, windows has to install the software assigned to each port. So trying different ports would help. You could also try plugging it into another computer if all else fails.
