Old OMA content from a NW series Walkman

OK, I am probably being stupid and the answer is 'suck it up'! But I have just bought a lovely new NWZ-S636F. I have my old library of OMA files from my NW-A1200. I hated Sonic Stage and only upgraded to another SONY because of the fact I didn't have to use it anymore. However it now seems my options are

1) Convert my OMA files to mp3 using a third party converter

2) Re rip all my CDs

Am I right? Or am I missing something obvious?

Sorry if there's a previous post on this, please feel free to point me to it. Tried a search but couldn't find it
