Default Can this X5 be repaired? Hard drive problem
Hi guys, was just rootling through ebay and found one, and only one x5 for sale, but it appears to be faulty, any ideas if its an easy repair job or am i stuck? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cowon-iAudio-X...em130288761628

It is hard to say. It could be just as it says and a reformat will do it. It might require a hew hard drive which you can get on ebay for under $100. If someone had opened it up and damaged the flex that connects the hard drive to the PCB it presents a real problem. There could also be a component problem on one of the PCB boards or maybe the firmware needs to get flashed over. Anyway it is a crap shoot.

right, cheers, won't risk it, lol, doubt it'd be a huge improvement over what i have now anyway :P
