Hello,
I just bought my Sony Walkman e436f today, 4GBs, Black. I hooked it up to my Mac, running OS X Leopard 10.5.5, I synced only a few songs to it (about 35) so I could test it out, but it won't eject. It is stuck on the Connecting screen with the circle not moving, and right in the middle. The battery at the bottom is showing that it is charging. When I click eject it ejects, then the player says do not disconnect and an exclamation mark in the middle of the circle, and reconnects. What happened? Just wondering if you figured it out yet. I have the Sony Walkman NWZ-E436F Blue 4GB. I am running 10.4 Tiger and having the same problem as you. When I used the Walkman on Linux it ejected fine, so it must be something with OSX. I even tried using "Disk Utility" And that didn't work either. My guess is the safest way to eject it is to turn off the computer, then unplug it. But that defeats the purpose of being "Plug and Play".

Download this program called Semulov and when you eject from semulov, press eject, then it will say it got disconnected, then unplug it quickly, because it will reconnect

Thanks... Ill give it a try. The newer version is Leopard only.... But I'll try the 1.03 version on Tiger.
