Default Black 8gb Fuze at Costco

I was at Costco today, and they had a black 8gb Sansa Fuze for $99.

I took a picture, but I only had my cell phone with me, so it's very very blurry.

I have no other details, but I thought this was worth mentioning.

For what it is worth BB has the silver 8gig for $99 as well. Seems to be a hot item as they hd loads of 4gig and 2gig but only a few of the 8gig. And no Black 8gig at all.

$99? It is $85 at B&H Photo. I thought Costco might have a lower price than B&H.

$85-89 seems to be the internet price ($89 at walmart with free site-to-store shipping http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=9239561) with $99 being the brick and morter standard. For me it was worth it to pay the difference as I wanted to replace my broken Microphoto before my monday commute.

Unfortunately not every one has a Costco handy. I live near Buffalo and the closest US Costco is Pittsburgh or Cleveland.

The actual closest Costcos are in Canada, and I have not seen the Fuze there.

$99 is standard retail price in-store.

Online products will always be cheaper.

I bought the black, 8gig Fuze from Amazon for $84 last week. I thought the 8 gig only came in silver, and was smitten when I discovered the ad on Amazon, I actually thought it was a misprint. After ordering it I expected to get the silver one, or a 4 gig black one. But lo and behold, Sansa is in fact making the black one in a 8 gig, and now I have one! I had thought it was a marketing faux pas to not make the highest capacity Fuze in black, since black is so cool. I just ordered the clear acrylic case. The Fuze actually fits quite well in a case that came with an old Casio calculator, but that's open on the long side. It made me think, a perfect case for the Fuze would be sort of like an envelope, with the flap simply folded over, allowing quick removal, for those who want to use it without a case but don't want it to get scratched otherwise. Sometimes cases for these things are too elaborate.
