Question about "spinn"-ing...

so I was thinking about getting the spinn (I would get the S9, but out of my price range at the moment), and I was wondering do I HAVE to use the spinn for most of the functions (such as scrolling) or can I go all touch-screen and not bother with it? thanks

I haven't played with the latest firmware, but yes the spindle is mandatory for some of the long lists. You've got a slider bar at the bottom which you can use to page down a list, but if you want to move one or two items down a list the spindle is required. I personally find it very annoying.

I don't own a SPINN, but I heard that the touch screen can be used for everything, I don't know though.

if you have a long list of songs you will have to use the spinn wheel. its really hard to scroll nicely using the touch screen if you have a couple hundred songs in the player. You can basically use the touch for everything tho. well everything except probably the games.

The Spinn has a new FW thats up to 2.0 now, and they just added a "Memo" option, which allows your write out a note for different uses.
I found it quite fun when bored.
