Default I just received my x5 today!
the sound is awesome! It does sound better then CDs imho or just as good.

One thing I can't figure out is why it doesn't display my jpegs? Did anyone have a similar problem?

Congrats!

Your JPEGs must not be progressive for the X5 to recognise them. I think there's also a file limit (1.5 or 2MB?) but I don't know for sure, never used it for picture stuff.

I see, also vids are not playing. So maybe I'll have to experiemnt with it more.

I just checked out the price on ebay and it has dropped $40 since my purchase, ya can't win them all.

Videos have to be XviD/160x128/14fps/256kbps.

Best use the no-nonsense, open-source iRiverter to convert your stuff for the X5's screen.

No, not yet. There's only rudimentary support for MPEG1/2 without sound in Rockbox yet. Video support just started, thanks to some nice hacker.
