First thing is check if your Fuze is v1 or v2 by following these instructions. Then, upgrade your firmware accordingly using these instructions.

Above all else, enjoy it.

The firmware comes before the micro SD cards and the headphones. Download the updater from Sansa web site then it will get you the latest firm ware whether you have version 1 or 2. Next get the micro SD card and the head sets.

Unless you're going to load it up fully, you don't need the micro SD cards, and earbuds come with it.

Just charge, switch to MSC, update firmware, load up with some music, and start listening.

Next get the Sana Media Converter (SMC), the updater should automatically download that as well. SMC is used to take movies and photos and adjust them to what the Fuze needs to display them on its screen. SMC would be your second priority while the micro SD card is the third priority, IMHO.

IMHO don't bother with the SMC and just use the Fuze for the wonderful audio quality it provides....It's a waste of time and effort (again, IMO) trying to put movies and such on a 1.9" screen. Just revel in the sound
